Spain wins the World Cup

It took 120 minutes of play, but the Span are finally staring down the Dutch 1-0 in the final of the World Cup on a goal from Andres Iniesta.

The Spaniards then won the coveted trophy at their first participation in the World Cup final.

At the 7th minute, the Dutch striker Dirk Kuyt intercepted a pass near the dubious Spanish defensive and tries a shot from 35 meters that Iker Casillas stopped easily.

The Spanish-cons attack in the 10th minute. Sergio Ramos managed to exceed the defender who covers the right, but its center is deflected behind the goal line by defender John Heitinga. Spain does not take advantage of the subsequent corner.

After the first fifteen minutes, both teams traded a yellow card. Robin Van Persie is punished on the side of the Netherlands, while Carlos Puyol has been punished for a tackle.

Moments later, John Heitinga’s turn to be punished by the referee.

Spain engaged shortly after the first replacement game. Pedro returns to the bench, giving way to Jesus Nava.

The Low Countries are very close to taking the lead in the 62nd minute. Arjen Robben gets a perfect pass from Wesley Sneijder and finds himself alone in front end Castillas, who however managed to close his angles and stop the ball.

The Spanish defender Joan Capdevila in turn receives a yellow card, the 8th of the game.

Spain gets its turn a great chance to score in the 69th minute. Dutchman John Heitinga trying to intercept the center to David Villa, but misses completely. The latter is left with the ball a few feet from the goal, but managed to deflect the Heiteinga shooting in extremis.

Shortly after, the Netherlands make the first change in their party, replacing Dirk Kuyt Eljero Elia. Spain spends more time close to break the tie in the 76th minute, but the head of Sergio Ramos Xavi’s corner misses the target.

Arjen Robben has almost managed to escape in the 83rd minute, but after two defenders who defeated the heel Castillas succeeded in eliciting the ball. New change in the 86th minute. While the score is still 0-0, Xavi Alonso takes the paths of the bench, leaving Cesc Fabregas taking his place in the alignment Spanish.

John Heintinga received his second yellow card of the match at the 108th minute after pushing a Spanish striker. He has been ejected from the game, forcing the Dutch to defend themselves at 10 players for the last 10 minutes. Gregory van der Wiel was also given a card a few moments later.

At the 116th minute, Andres Iniesta has finally managed to break the tie with a superb strike which left no chance for Dutch keeper after a perfect pass from Francesc Fàbregas.

The Netherlands have been nice to try in the final minutes of play to force the holding of a shootout, it was too late for the Oranje, who bow down for the third time in their history in the final.
